Millésime
Privacy policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Millésime is a jar of little joys: what you add to it belongs to you and stays yours.
What we collect
Nothing. Millésime collects no personal data, shows no ads, does not track you across apps and asks for no account.
Where your memories live
- Your moments (texts, photos, sounds, feelings, tags, dates) are stored on your iPhone.
- If iCloud is turned on, they sync to your private iCloud database, tied to your Apple account. Neither Millésime’s publisher nor anyone else has access to it. How Apple keeps them is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
- Widgets only show the year and the number of moments, never their content. Notifications never contain the content of a moment.
- During the ceremony, Millésime can recognize the sea in your photos to compose a chapter. This recognition happens entirely on your iPhone, with Apple’s tools: no photo leaves it.
Permissions requested
- Camera: only to take a photo to attach to a moment, when you ask. To pick an existing photo, your photo library opens without Millésime having access to it: only the photo you choose is handed over.
- Add to Photos: by default, photos you take with Millésime are also saved to your photo library; you can turn this off at any time in Settings. Millésime can only add photos, and can never read or browse your photo library.
- Microphone: only to record the sound of a moment (15 seconds at most), when you tap “Sound”.
- Notifications: only if you turn on the evening reminder, the gentle morning note, the monthly whispers or the ceremony.
- Face ID: only if you turn on the lock. Your face is never accessible to the app; Apple checks it alone.
Your rights
- Export: Settings › My data › Export my moments: a complete file of all your moments.
- Delete: Settings › My data › Delete all my data erases everything, on the iPhone and in iCloud. Deleting the app also erases the iPhone’s data.
